Me, Alec and Chris took Vasilis and went on the cliffs of Tegg's Nose Country Park for trekking/walking/whatever. Magnificent view I might say; we could see the whole plain field of Manchester. Telescopes, skyscrapers, forests, it had everything. It was a bit windy and chilly I suppose, so we had to shorten our tour. The footpaths were very well paved indeed. Quite a few people walking with their dogs, cycling, I think that englishmen are rather fond of sports.
After that we went to John's place. Beautiful countryside, again, lovely people gathered. We met quite a few Rotarians, also met the cypriot Charlie and his wife Joanne and son Andreas. He was the chef of the day, he brought his barbeque and made us feel like home (listening to greek songs, eating greek food and some cypriot flavors). Dessert was a bit funny; greek (?) creamy stuff with biqsuit-cramps and norwegian sweet bisquits. Among us there was that rotarian with his wife, a lovely norwegian lady. She even “skal” us instead of “cheers” and “stin igeia sas”!
In the afternoon we crashed at John's. We were watching the World Snooker Championship which is held in England this year. After 3 quarters or so all three of us were asleep for a while. I don't know who is to blame; the poor quality game or the wine!
